    People You Hang Out With
    Sunday, November 16, 2008 { 03:30 }

if a stranger comes along and ask me "what kind of life do you have?"
i wonder what should i say.
the kind of life you have pretty much is determined by the kind of people you live with i supposed.

you meet people everyday in your life. but some people you meet in your life everyday. these are the people that really matter... because they determine your answer to the what-kind-of-a-life-i-live question.

here are the people that mattered very much over the many weekends in my life. since i am only truly alive on weekends, these are the people that mould this life.
yet they also happened to be the ones to ruin its sanity.

its a tough world out there... hang out with the meanest-looking

even though he may be a retard at most times

if you want something and dont have it, hang out with the people who do

give me a sharp nose and nice boobies

this (unfortunately) was intentional and supposed to be artistic

    this, however, is not

    your friendly guide to self-ventilation

first you check out what might be clogging up the vents

    then you check it somemore

    the more the merrier

afterwhich you stick your pinkies into the area of concern and twist it as many times as necessary

    the results are astounding

being able to breathe in fresh air is the result of hard work

and breathing in other peoples fart is a part of breathing in fresh air as well

when you are the person who farted

    act like a victim

besties do things together... from camwhoring to breathing fart

    and throwing your reputation away

"hey get ready... its about here you start rolling."

you are goddamn lucky to have seen a lolita (who is still alive to blog) roll down stairs before.

    i Was Hanging On

when it was time to leave.

4 days is too short... and so is a lifetime.
somehow i cannot feel the kind of happiness one feels when going home.
"home" is nowhere far from japan.
till the day i have experienced every single thing i would like to experience in japan... i will always be trying to go back to it over and over again.
until i have truly stayed there, worked, and lived a life like a typical japanese adult would... i will always be telling everyone that i want to go live in japan forever.
i know that there is no place like home, and home is where the family is.
my family is not in japan... but why is my heart there?

i really cannot deal with goodbyes with the things i love.

i close your door one last time

    goodbye roomkey

last trip to shinjuku OlOl building and saw a happy man in the middle of the streets

he was friendly and happy and it made me cheer up a little

went to look at those kiapkiap machines one last time

and brought one last toy home

took a neoprint all by my lonely self

    it turned out.... stupid

one last visit to sixh with a secret mission

i dont believe it.... mission accomplished in the end

i walked this road one last time to the hotel having walked on it so many times over the past 4 days

it felt like the road to home to me

the main (old) building of shinjuku washington hotel

i will always come back to you if i ever visit japan again

slept on the limousine bus and woke up to find myself suddenly at narita airport

took a piture to remind myself of how beautiful the weather was in japan

    i was... truly ... leaving.
    i cried at the airport.
i know i always will... every single time i visit japan.

    おまけ

mission reward: a beautiful photo of your quest

"is he Mr. IBI san? can i get him to sign on the flyer?"

fuck i know there is no need for Mr. and san to be together
i was too nervous to speak properly.

thank you for signing on your flyer for me, giving me your namecard, tolerating me infiltrating your stores 3 days in a long-weekend, and allowing me to take your photo

Realization dawned upon me when i was happily soaking away my fats in a tub of luke-warm rose water on a saturday night.

tomorrow is the last full-day you have to fulfill whatever the rain and misguidedness had stopped you from doing

thereafter i sat in my bathtub counting my remaining cash with my soapy hands... a lighted cigarette sticking out from the corner of my mouth.
the digits were heathly numbers and that can only mean one thing: iris can afford to shop like its her birthday tomorrow too.

i went to sleep with a smirk on my tired face and five alarms ringing in intervals from 7am to 9 am japanese time

last chance to breakfast hotel-style and this time i arrived early

i once sat in that seat last year

went out in another new garment minus proper shoes

cos my shoes were sitting in the BPN shop waiting for me to pay up and wear them out

the place where the kiaper will get lost in (like i did)

it is one of my favoritest place in shinjuku

it was a public holiday eve, and there was a street performance

they blocked the road between me and OlOl for the dancing obasans... i barged through anyhow after 10 mins of waiting

    it beckoned

since i was in singapore all this while... hence a
couple of obasans and 1 policeman are not going to stop me from getting to it

    this thing moves

the seafood restuarants in singapore have lousy dead-looking crab-signboards

its teh harajuku bridge with no cosplayers in sight

except this group and a couple of weird looking ones

    went for a hair trim

and he was my hairdresser <3

i was here last year too

and this year i came back to buy another bag (you japanese now know that when you earned my money once, you will earn it forever)

the first stores i hunted down were the naoto cluster

i didnt know that 8 club was moving soon after i visited it... i should have taken pictures of more than just the doormat

shopper instincts soon overwhelmed everything else and no pictures were taken until i see this after sun down

i think people come here to get married (or try to get yourself married eventually)

    hairsalon street

where every store has its own concept and every store charges you an equally high price for a haircut

it is sexy to have a pink FUCK screaming at everyone who walks past your store

that way you get to hire pretty kera models to be your shopkeepers

japan also happens to parade their clothes like they do their yakitori sticks in the grilling machine

the moving clothes made me think of charsiew

another classic example of earning my money till the day i die

this was where i spent an hour and a half in without realizing when i first visited japan

a pack of bathsalt i will never get to use if i bring it back to singapore

it goes into the bathtub as a reward for me hardwork for that night

    おまけ

this is the hard work i was talking about (try packing them when your bodys like a corpse)

    it took me 3 hours

    "beri ro-ku sutaru*! 素敵な..."

i ought to love that traffic light at harajuku <3
    Oh yes i do
