4 days is too short... and so is a lifetime.
somehow i cannot feel the kind of happiness one feels when going home.
"home" is nowhere far from japan.
till the day i have experienced every single thing i would like to experience in japan... i will always be trying to go back to it over and over again.
until i have truly stayed there, worked, and lived a life like a typical japanese adult would... i will always be telling everyone that i want to go live in japan forever.
i know that there is no place like home, and home is where the family is.
my family is not in japan... but why is my heart there?
i close your door one last time
goodbye roomkey
last trip to shinjuku OlOl building and saw a happy man in the middle of the streets
he was friendly and happy and it made me cheer up a little
went to look at those kiapkiap machines one last time
and brought one last toy home
took a neoprint all by my lonely self
it turned out.... stupid
one last visit to sixh with a secret mission
i dont believe it.... mission accomplished in the end
i walked this road one last time to the hotel having walked on it so many times over the past 4 days
it felt like the road to home to me
the main (old) building of shinjuku washington hotel
i will always come back to you if i ever visit japan again
slept on the limousine bus and woke up to find myself suddenly at narita airport
took a piture to remind myself of how beautiful the weather was in japan
i was... truly ... leaving.
i cried at the airport.
i know i always will... every single time i visit japan.

mission reward: a beautiful photo of your quest
"is he Mr. IBI san? can i get him to sign on the flyer?"
fuck i know there is no need for Mr. and san to be together
i was too nervous to speak properly.
thank you for signing on your flyer for me, giving me your namecard, tolerating me infiltrating your stores 3 days in a long-weekend, and allowing me to take your photo
衣斐さん
Realization dawned upon me when i was happily soaking away my fats in a tub of luke-warm rose water on a saturday night.
last chance to breakfast hotel-style and this time i arrived early
i once sat in that seat last year
went out in another new garment minus proper shoes
cos my shoes were sitting in the BPN shop waiting for me to pay up and wear them out
the place where the kiaper will get lost in (like i did)
it is one of my favoritest place in shinjuku
it was a public holiday eve, and there was a street performance
they blocked the road between me and OlOl for the dancing obasans... i barged through anyhow after 10 mins of waiting
it beckoned
since i was in singapore all this while... hence a
couple of obasans and 1 policeman are not going to stop me from getting to it
this thing moves
the seafood restuarants in singapore have lousy dead-looking crab-signboards
its teh harajuku bridge with no cosplayers in sight
except this group and a couple of weird looking ones
went for a hair trim
and he was my hairdresser <3
i was here last year too
and this year i came back to buy another bag (you japanese now know that when you earned my money once, you will earn it forever)
the first stores i hunted down were the naoto cluster
i didnt know that 8 club was moving soon after i visited it... i should have taken pictures of more than just the doormat
shopper instincts soon overwhelmed everything else and no pictures were taken until i see this after sun down
i think people come here to get married (or try to get yourself married eventually)
hairsalon street
where every store has its own concept and every store charges you an equally high price for a haircut
it is sexy to have a pink FUCK screaming at everyone who walks past your store
that way you get to hire pretty kera models to be your shopkeepers
japan also happens to parade their clothes like they do their yakitori sticks in the grilling machine
the moving clothes made me think of charsiew
another classic example of earning my money till the day i die
this was where i spent an hour and a half in without realizing when i first visited japan
a pack of bathsalt i will never get to use if i bring it back to singapore
it goes into the bathtub as a reward for me hardwork for that night
おまけ
this is the hard work i was talking about (try packing them when your bodys like a corpse)
it took me 3 hours
"beri ro-ku sutaru*! 素敵な..."
i ought to love that traffic light at harajuku <3
Oh yes i do
i had been going round in circles.
from shinjuku to kaihimmmukahari. it only takes 2 stops and change of trains yet i can lose my way. so much for laughing at the abnormal who doesnt read maps....
this is karma. please take this as a lesson and be nice to the slower ones around you everyone. (i can see the abnormal going /woah*)
blasted TGS starts at 10am and ends at farking 5pm. it was 330 to 4 pm when i eventually reached there.... so stop asking me how fun TGS was... i am too ashamed to tell you how little TGS seemed to me.
night time equals my one and only trip to akibahara...
in time to see the shops all close one by one. i swear ive never walked so fast in my entire life (and with a very tired pair of feet somemore).
there were so much i have seen... (and by the time i got home), so much i didnt manage to meet. i MUST go back and realise my fantasy of buying cheap psp and nds stuff one day....
see the drink? BEST drink for your mornings
the hair didnt even last for the journey to TGS
you get to smoke on the train platforms of japan
and you get to drink too
the trains running on the JR line changed to better ones
they used to resemble SBS non-airconditioned buses on railway tracks that last time i was in japan 1 year ago
THE tokyo station
where everyone is busy-looking and half of those people are lost
coupon-dining
i was more interested in playing with the machine than eating the rubber food
i glued myself to the head of the train
and try to sneak a photo of the very pro train driver (anyone who can do things i cant do and not screw up is very pro)
we went past tokyo disneyland
it seemed as pretty as the one in hong kong
i should not be at this stop at all
this was where the nightmare began
finally reached mukahari messe and caught this band playing on the roadside
they really managed to cheer me up
i know playmore books this stretch every single year
but i dont know why the entrances are not the same every year too
i dont know him and i dont know the game he was in mascot for
but i respect him for his perfect i-am-a-retardedly-funny-person pose (it was perfectly cute)
instincts said "take me foto!!!"
wise choice cos they never return me any part of the ticket
king of fighters 12
takes up 60 minutes of your 90 mins left (obviously i didnt play)
kula went on stage to introduce herself
handsome boyfriend looks on expectantly
taiko no tatsujin
on Wii!!!
someone tell me why am i even alive??
oh.. . so this is why
then you walk the long fucking way out
like every-annoyed-body else
akibahara at night
sega world is teh fun
ended up camwhoring at a lift lobby
the man wants some screentime so i gave it to him
made a new friend the night before
dropped by to take a photo with him on my way back to the hotel
おまけ
how in the world can they name a plastic surgery salon after me??!?!?! /cannot
it is so tiring to travel in japan....
"does your phone send email?"
no... how i wish it does like yours
